Interview Yen (“the App”) is operated by Founder Manage LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), the company behind InterviewZen. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
a) Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google — we do not receive your Google password.
b) Audio Data (Transient Processing)
When you use Interview Yen’s transcription feature, audio from your device microphone is captured and sent to our Whisper transcription API in short segments (15-25 seconds). Audio is processed in real-time and immediately discarded. We do not store, retain, or archive any audio recordings on our servers. No audio data is persisted after transcription.
c) Transcripts (Session-Only)
Transcription results are returned to your device and exist only within your active app session. Transcripts are not stored on our servers. When you close the app or end a session, session data is cleared from device memory.
d) AI Responses (Session-Only)
AI-generated coaching responses (STAR frameworks, ThoughtFlow solutions, etc.) are generated in real-time and streamed to your device. These responses are not stored on our servers after delivery.
e) Usage Data
We collect anonymous, aggregate usage data (e.g., feature usage frequency, session duration, crash reports) to improve the App. This data is not linked to your identity.

Interview Yen is built by the InterviewZen team as a research project to advance AI-assisted interview detection. Interview Yen and InterviewZen operate on completely separate infrastructure. Your Interview Yen account, audio, transcripts, and session data are never shared with InterviewZen’s interview assessment platform. The research value is in understanding AI assistance patterns at an aggregate, anonymized level — not in accessing individual user data.

Interview Yen is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
